Konijn en Haas - Rabbit and Hare
Konijn - Rabbit
Rabbits are not rodents, though often thought. Rodents have accommodation in the upper part of the teeth on but two incisors, whereas Lagomorphs have four of which the two pin teeth behind the upper incisors. The rabbit lives alone of vegetable food. Also eat the droppings on his own. the size of the wild rabbit is between that of the real hares and Pikas in with a length of 35 to 50 cm. The exact length depends on the breed. The hind legs of the rabbit are relatively much shorter than that of the hares, but longer than those of the Pikas. The abdomen is much lighter in color than the back, often white. Also the bottom of the tail and the legs is white.

Haas - Hare
Superficially seems to be a Bunny rabbit, but he is much larger, with proportionally bigger ears with black ends and longer limbs. Also moves a Hare itself more with jumps. The European Hare has a greyish yellow to rust-brown fur, which serves as camouflage. The underside is greyish white in color. However, there are many color variations known, including sand-coloured albino or completely black. Young animals often have a white spot on the head. The top of the short tail (plume) is black in color, the underside white. The long-eared (Spoons) are grey with a black tip. Daniel pane twice a year, in the spring and in the autumn. The summer coat is lighter in color than the more Ruddy winter coat. The coat is dense and soft and consists of three hair types: an undercoat with hair of 15 mm, fuzzy hairs, from 24 to 27 mm and guard hairs from 32 to 35 mm. The eyes are large and golden brown and are surrounded by lighter coat.
